The SAP Lounge opens its doors in Vilvoorde
On February 2, the SAP Lounge opened its doors in Het Tuchthuis in Vilvoorde. The new high-end location features at ‘Het Tuchthuis' features bar and restaurant facilities, open meeting rooms and modern conference rooms. They will be the scene for the joint marketing and communication efforts of SAP and its Lounge partners in 2009.
The new SAP Lounge at Het Tuchthuis offers a best in class infrastructure to catalyze business interaction with restaurant and networking bar, fully equipped convention rooms, executive area and a multifunctional attic area. All this in an historic decor devised by renowned architect Caroline Notté.
Seminar and networking possibilities
There's room on the first floor for an open workspace where meetings can be held in enclosed areas or where people can work quietly. The Convention Center on the first floor is suited for the organization of bigger events. On the second floor is the Executive Floor with the SAP and Foundation Partners conference rooms, all equipped with the latest technology. The piece de resistance of the SAP Lounge is definitely the historic Attic under the roof tiles of Het Tuchthuis. The Attic is perfect for receptions or larger events.
Succesfull history
Het Tuchthuis in Vilvoorde is already the fourth location of the SAP Lounge. The SAP Lounge started 5 years as a joint marketing initiative of SAP and its partners. Foundation partners Accenture, Deloitte, Eozen en IBM together with SAP founded the first SAP Lounge in 2004 in the Maison Van Hamme in Watermael-Bosvoorde. The following years the SAP Lounge moved to Het Arsenaal in Brussels and the 2fc Studios in Evere, with more and more partners joining the marketing and communication platform. For 2009, more than 35 partners -with Keneos as the first premium partner- are working together in making the SAP Lounge again a great success.
